Aadhaar UID card logo design Aadhaar is the brand name and logo of the unique identifier. In February of 2010, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) ran a nation-wide contest for the logo design of Aadhaar. Mr. Atul S. Pande of Pune submitted the winning design as seen below: The Aadhaar logo was unveiled in New Delhi on April 26, 2010 at the UIDAI Ecosystem event held at Vigyan Bhawan. Mr. Atul S. Pande of Pune was awarded 1,000,000 Indian Rupees (about INR 1,107,906.36 ($18,000 USD)), while the other 4 finalist received 10,000 Indian Rupees each (approx. INR 11,079.06 ($180)each).

The UID card number will store basic demographics, biometric information, photograph, all ten fingerprints, and the unique identification by the iris of each individual in a central database.
